About Me.
Hi, I’m Pam Brown — a strategist, educator, and longtime wellness entrepreneur who believes the future of business is inclusive, liberatory, and aligned with purpose.
My work is rooted in anti-capitalist, anti-racist, humanistic values. I’ve spent over a decade moving between roles as an activist, professor, studio owner, health coach, and marketing strategist — always rooted in justice and care. Through my work as a business owner and coach, I faced a challenge so many wellness leaders know well: how to build a business that honors your purpose and supports your life — without sacrificing integrity for income. That’s the exact problem I solved at Align Brooklyn — by aligning our systems, strategy, and sales process with our mission — and it’s the foundation I now use to help other wellness leaders build businesses that truly work.
I co-founded Align Brooklyn, an award-winning boutique wellness studio that ranked in the top 1% of Black-owned businesses nationally and top 2% of women-owned. During the pandemic, we pivoted online and built a thriving digital membership — but without the venture capital of big tech players, it became clear that our best path forward was helping others build powerful, principled businesses of their own.
I bring a uniquely interdisciplinary lens to business building. My background in cultural sociology gives me deep insight into how to build business cultures that are values-aligned, inclusive, and sustainable. My graduate work in media studies focused on how people interact with technology — a perspective I now apply to designing internal systems that actually work for small teams and solo founders. I’m certified in digital marketing and SEO, with a focus on inbound, relationship-based strategies that feel human — not performative or pushy. And my early success as a top-performing Corcoran real estate rookie taught me how to sell high-ticket offerings with clarity, confidence, and care — skills I now help my clients embody in their own way.
My work is also shaped by decades of organizing and activism — rooted in movements for economic and racial justice, and driven by the belief that wellness businesses can model the future we want to live in. You can learn more about my work here.
I created Path to Flourish for wellness leaders like you — people who care deeply about their communities, their craft, and their calling. I’m here to show you that you can have structure without rigidity, revenue without extraction, and success without burnout.
